San Diego Through the Lens (Documentary)
For this project we had to get into groups of 2-4, and then research a neighborhood by compiling articles, pictures, books, interviews etc. into a binder. Then once we had all of this info, we had to take it all and create a documentary based off our community. Talking about things such as, the history, the changes the community had made over time, and how the community is today. For my group we had done Pacific Beach, we had to go to libraries looking for books, and interviewing influential people in Pacific Beach.
For this project I had done a good amount of things, such as, finding sources and articles we could use, citing our sources, organizing our binder, editing our movie, and our narration script. For exhibition I helped make a poster for our project, and for our group I helped attract people to our table.
I enjoyed this project a lot. I enjoyed researching my neighborhood and learning new things about it. I also enjoyed interviewing interesting people in PB. I had a lot of fun walking around and exploring, interacting with people. If I could change some things, it might be that I wish I did Golden Heights, instead of PB. I say this because I live in Golden Heights.
