Elements of Art Cube
ReflectionThe process I had gone through to create these images were simple yet effective. First we would have Chris explain the new element, he would show us examples in art pieces and works by famous artists. Then we would then sketch out an idea that represented that element. We would then give our sketch to another person and they would critique it and give their feedback, what to add what to remove. Then we would make another sketch, this process was repeated 1-2 more times. Once we had 7 sketches, we would take the 5 main elements and 1 of the disputable ones (form or value) and draw them onto our cube. Once on our cube we would fold it all together.

LearningThis project had us learn quite a bit. The first things was about the elements of art. Before I didn't really have a good grasp of art, I would draw whatever I wanted without any real thought. But now I think about the lines, and the color, and the space, it really helped me get an understanding of what I was drawing and helped me get better in art in general. Also with the feedback I received it helped me learn from my mistakes. I was getting really solid advice from my peers and it helped with the outcomes of my designs. The feedback had very specific suggestions like "change the way you stroke your pencil" it really helped me and my art. With all the great feedback I got, I changed a lot about each of my drawings and really took into account all of the feedback that I agreed with. With each drawing, I changed them a lot from the initial sketches.
